Gun violence is the leading cause of death of children and teens in the U.S.

Since 2019, I’ve been sending postcards to advocate for gun control. The postcards are available to gallery visitors, as part of art installations, and also on demand. The front of the postcard shows “Mommy, what is this?” (2018), which is a photograph of the hand of my son making the peace sign while also holding a toy bullet. The back of the postcard contains a short letter intended for elected officials, “No more children should die from gun violence. I support gun control.”, along with fill-in-the-blank spaces for names and contact information. This installation has been curated into several exhibitions, and presented at venues like Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY, Boston Center for the Arts in Boston, MA and Old Stone House in Brooklyn, NY. For more information about this project, go here.

To date, I’ve mailed more than 700 postcards.

If you are insterested in buying postcards to share with your family or friends, or if you would like me to fill out a postcard in your name, please use the Contact Form to let me know.
